The Munich Film Festival this year honoured actress Julie Christie with the for her lifetime contribution to the Cinema, from her memorable role in Dr Zhivago to her more recent Golden Globe winner An Ihrer Seite, writes Julita Witt.

For the 26th time since its inception, the Munich Film Festival – most likely the biggest summer festival in Germany - opened its doors to the public this year. The films selected by festival head Andreas Ströhl and his team were shown on 41 screens to professional and interested audiences.

 Well, I didn´t expect that I would be able to prove myself in doing my exercises all on my own and without Kofi´s strong arms that quickly…but a week of radio broadcasting from Palma de Mallorca would necessarily mean that I had to train on my own.Every other day I went from the Arabella Sheraton Golf Hotel´s sunny terrace to the gym right away in order to do my exercises. And- surprisingly it went even easier that I thought: it´s all in your head. Being motivated through that seemingly endless energy of mine I even did some extra training sessions or even more repetitions than Kofi had put in my travel-training-plan.

Some of the exercises are getting really familiar already, they are burned into my brain never to be forgotten again. After the training at 30 degrees and rivers of sweat, I had a refreshing swim in the pool. Pure Bodyfeeling…how could I even live without that for so long?
