A native Berliner, she attended the Berlin Hotelfachschule.

Prior to launching the Ellington Hotel, Tina was Convention and Event Director at Berlin's Estrel Hotel, playing a leading role in its emerging success as one of Europe's top convention hotels.

Tina Palmowski has made events a centrepiece of the Ellington's development. The Femina Saal with its high windows and the popular Sommergarten - scene of several JazzRadio open-air concerts - are both sought-after event locations.

"Our co-operation with JazzRadio 101.9 greatly enhances the Ellington, " she says. "The glass studio with live programmes daily from 6 pm occupies a prominent position in the Lounge and our guests in the Duke Restaurant really appreciate the jazz duos at our Sunday JazzBrunch.
"The concerts with top-class jazz artists fit very well with the Ellington Hotel, since jazz is our choice for in-house music, "Tina Palmowski adds.
Referring to earlier times when the same block in Nürnberger Strasse housed a famous Berlin jazz club, she comments, "It is reminiscent of earlier times and when jazz musicians like Duke Ellington, Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong visited here".
