Movies news: Michael Douglas feels guilty

Cameron, the son of Michael Douglas faces 10 years of jail time on a drug conviction and will be sentenced on April 27. His father sees parallels with his relationship regarding his own father, Kirk, and is assessing his role in his son's upbringing.

In the April issue of 'Vanity Fair', the actor explains that his priorities were very similar to his father's. 'Career first!'. When Douglas and his first wife, Diandra Luker, split up in the nineties, Cameron was left with an absent celebrity father, for the most part.


“The history of second-generation isn't great in our industry. It's kind of a tragic road, actually” says the celebrity, who went to rehab for alcohol problems himself. In January, his son pleaded guilty to distributing a large quantity of crystal meth.

One positive note is that the Oscar winning actor has the drive and is willing to be a better father to his two younger children with Catherine Zeta Jones.

This spring, Michael Douglas can be seen in Oliver Stone's newest film: 'Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps'.
