Julita and the Doctor’s Son

It is every hypochondriac’s dream to have a doctor in the family.

Julita and the Doctor’s Son
French playwright Jean Baptiste Molière spun this theme into the wonderful farce “Le Malade Imaginaire”. Former JazzRadio Presenter Julita Witt (pictured left) is currently appearing in the German-language version - Der Eingebildet Kranke – at the Theater Comédie Soleil in Werder.

The hypochondriac father, Argan (Michael Klemm) wants to marry daughter Angelique (Julita Witt) off to the son of his doctor, Diafoirus. But the family’s scheming and clever maid, Toinette (played by Nadja Winter) has other ideas…

You can see this uproarious comedy, one of Molière’s finest, on Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings, 21 – 23 May.
