The Berlinale programme is now complete and the 60th edition will bring the Festival not only to the well-known cinemas at Potsdamer Platz, but also to various small independent cinemas throughout the city - and to the Brandenburg Gate for a special screening of Metropolis.

Berlinale Celebrates Throughout Town
Each Berlinale section will have its own way of celebrating the past 60 years and visitors will get a glimpse of footage taken as far back as 1951. It is no wonder that the Film Festival in Berlin is the world's biggest in terms of audience figures and reception.
As usual, Berlin will have its share of stars and starlets during the 10 days. People like Leonardo Di Caprio, Ben Stiller, Pierce Brosnan will all add the glamour factor but with the many other segments like "Retrospektive", "Kulinarisches Kino" or"Generation", there are many chances to explore exciting and outstanding stuff as well.
The Berlinale opens this year on February 11th with a movie from the Chinese director Wang Quan'an called Tuan Yuan and ends on February 20th with the big Gala night and with the Japanese entry Otouto by Yoji Yamada, who will also receive the Berlinale Camera this year.
Both Michaela Wagner and I will report from the Festival both on our website and also in the afternoon drivetime show, Monday to Friday from 2-6pm.
