Director Kathryn Bigelow is going to direct a new film called 'Triple Frontier'. The movie centers on drug trafficking in South America. It is rumored that stars Denzel Washington, Javier Bardem and Sean Penn are in talks to play in the movie.
Kathryn Bigelow, the director of the 6 time Oscar-winning movie 'The Hurt Locker', is going to shoot a new movie next year, called 'Triple Frontier'. The action-drama will focus on drug trafficking and will possibly have an all-star cast.
Although the film is still in a very early stage of production, big names like Denzel Washington, Javier Bardem and Sean Penn are rumored to be in talks for Bigelow's next project. The film centers on a border zone of South Africa, a haven for drug cartels and terrorist activity, sharing similarities with Steven Soderbergh's Oscar-winning 'Traffic', from 2000. Bigelow will be working with writer Mark Boal, who also wrote 'The Hurt Locker'. Whether or not the three fore mentioned actors will actually star in the movie, it looks like Bigelow, who was the first woman to win the Oscar for Best Director, already has another successful project on her hands.
