Film and stars: Sam Worthington tipped as new Bond

Avatar' star Sam Worthington is the hot favorite to play the next James Bond. Because production on the 23rd Bond movie has halted, it is not sure whether or not Daniel Craig will reprise his role of Ian Fleming's spy. English bookies have tipped the Australian hunk as the contender to take over the part, if Craig doesn’t return for his third installment in the series.


British actor Christian Bale and American actor Will Smith come equally second. Ewan McGregor, Jude Law, Robert Pattinson and Tom Cruise are also mentioned for the role.

Although, it is expected that Craig will return as Bond, Worthington is listed as favorite. It's not the first time that he has been considered as 007 agent. He was in the running to take over from Pierce Brosnan, but eventually, Daniel Craig was cast.

Currently, Sam Worthington can be seen in 'Clash of the Titans'.

Sam Worthing is English,he was born in Surrey England.

Only British people can play James Bond,its a James Bond rule so Sam can play Bond but wether he will or not is a diffrent matter.
