Brad Pitt has joined the Board of Directors for the U.S.A. Bid Committee to bring the world’s largest sporting event, the FIFA World Cup, to the U.S. in 2018 or 2022.The actor will be joining other big names like Spike Lee, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Bill Clinton, who are already in the comittee. Other countries in contention for the tournaments are Australia, England, Russia, Spain-Portugal and the Netherlands-Belgium. The FIFA committee will vote on the 2018 and 2022 sites on December 2. The 2010 World Cup is to kick off on June 11 and is hosted by South-Africa. But Luckily, the Hollywood hunk is also still keeping busy with films. His production company has bought the rights to turn the book ‘The Imperfectionists’ by Tom Rachman into a movie. It is not yet known who will direct or star in the movie, and whether or not Pitt will take on a role himself. He is currently working on ‘The Tree Of Life’, in which he stars alongside Sean Penn.
